Say “Hello” to our new Social Media Coordinator

As a means to improve our communication with all Muldrew Lake cottagers, the MLCA Board has recently created and hired a new Social Media Coordinator (SMC) position, a volunteer position staffed by a youthful, life-long Muldrew Lake cottager with strong social media awareness and skills. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing the MLCA’s social media strategy with a goal of increasing the Board’s online presence and improving our communication with both members and non-members. At all times, the SMC will function under the supervision of a small team of Board members, with regular reporting to the Board.

Some of the areas we hope the SMC can be effective are:

-share information regarding Board initiatives

-encourage lake community engagement

-discuss and encourage boating safety

-conduct information gathering surveys as required

-share information on lake etiquette and cooperative sharing of the lake

-communication of lake relevant information, projects, fund raising and events 

-extoll the benefits of MLCA membership and encourage joining the MLCA

-share information on Town and District events, initiatives, and issues

We invite you to say hello to our new SMC, Olivia, on any of the currently used social media pages. She has also created an official MLCA Instagram account, Muldrew.Lake, so please feel free to follow and ask any questions or for any information about Board initiatives at your convenience. The MLCA Facebook page will be home base for the SMC but you will also likely see her commenting on other FB sites as well. The MLCA Board wishes to embrace and encourage the use of social media as a means of better serving our lake community.
