Speaking of Wildlife!

Come participate in a brand new family event on Muldrew, this July 6th, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at Memorial Pines. This will be a one-hour interactive presentation, featuring 5-6 native Ontario, wildlife ambassadors and a wildlife interpreter. Featured animals might include porcupine, hawk, bobcat, turtle, skunk, goose, owl, snake, and others, and you will learn about each individual animal, its species, adaptations and habitat.

Many of you will remember the Muskoka Wildlife Centre on Highway 11, south of Gravenhurst, which closed in 2013. That’s when some of the Centre’s long-time staff established Speaking of Wildlife, a successor sanctuary for animals that cannot survive in the wild. Their goal is to deliver up-close encounters with Ontario wildlife and to provide a lasting experience that is enlightening, inspiring and entertaining.
